They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.

It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.

We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.

Febuary 2012

From Seleus Romania To Seleus Serbia

With economies as diverse as those across Europe, it's not surprising that many Romanians look beyond their borders for the hope of better wages in wealthier countries, but did you know there are communities of Romanians living generationally in poorer neighboring countries?

One such village in eastern Serbia shares the name Seleus with Pastor Emi Moisa's village in Romania. Pastor Emi and his congregation decided to encourage them and minister to them in any way they could, so they traveled (about 160 miles) there.

They took the youth from the church, along with the brass band, and sang in public places. Emi preached the Gospel and held services in two churches.

There was also an opportunity to work with two groups of children. Join us as we pray that God will continue to open doors for ministry to the children and families in Seleus Serbia.

Pray for guidance for Pastor Emi and his people as they serve Jesus by helping those less fortunate.

Historic Gathering in Iermata

Six evangelical congregations In Western Romania, three Baptist and three Pentecostal, gathered together to celebrate the birth of Jesus on the second day of Christmas 2011.

Yes, in case you were wondering, there are two Days of Christmas in Romania. The Pentecostal Church in Iermata hosted this historic joint service of worship and fellowship. The hope is leaders of these churches will study and pray together for a common vision so that God will use them to do a great work in their area for His Glory!

Praise God for bringing His children together in praise and worship!

October 2011

Pastor Titus Teaches In Sovata

BIG Impact held a conference in Sovata Romania, October 25th through the 29th, called, Managing Church Growth. The purpose was to train pastors and leaders from their teams, teaching them techniques to help make their churches more effective in changing times.

Pastor Titus was excited to introduce new resources from Crown Financial Ministries recently translated and produced in Romania as part of the conference. These new materials are a valuable asset for teaching the attendees God's principles for how to handle the money He entrusts us with.

Please pray for God's provision to continue to translate and produce more resources from Crown into Romanian.

Baptizing New Believers

June 2011

The baptism of new believers is a great time of celebration, with many family and friends attending the service, who are not regular church goers. This gives pastors a great chance to present The Gospel of Christ to those who would otherwise not be receptive or even there.

Praise God for the opportunity for these pastors to preach to the lost as they work together to expand His kingdom!!!

Sandu, Toni, and their team are excited to baptize this big group of new believers in Carceni!

Emi and Vasi pray for a candidate for baptism in a church in Fersig.

The church in Carceni is full of excited family and friends awaiting the baptism.

Christmas in Romania

December 2011

Christmas is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Romania! It is a time of joyous singing by young and old alike. There are two days of Christmas celebration along with caroling on Christmas Eve.

I was blessed to spend my first Christmas in Romania with my wife Mary and daughter Hayley. It was a time we will never forget as we shared in the joy of the birth of Jesus our Lord and Savior with all our friends there.

We traveled to Romania with the intent to take gifts and blankets to children in Oltenia. There was a lot of snow across Romania for most of the trip and the normal eight hour drive to Oltenia would take at least thirty hours if we could make it at all.

The decision was made to see what God would have us do in the Western part of the country in the area we were in.

God was faithful to show us plenty of families who needed the blankets and goodies we brought for the children.

The children were very excited and it was wonderful to visit their homes and pray with them and their families. We were also blessed to get to help give out Christmas boxes filled with gifts for children of all ages from Team Hope. These boxes are a wonderful outreach to many needy families and very well received.

Thanks Team Hope (Ireland.) Even though we had plans to go to another region in Romania, God, as always, provided us with the ministry He prepared where we were. Praise God! He is always faithful!

Youth on the Move!

Youth GroupOn April 30th Pastor Emi will lead a group of at least 35 youth from Seleus on a three day spiritual retreat in Oradea, a city in North West Romania.

This program is designed to allow the youth from the church to build relationships with the youth not involved in church. The hope is to lead them to Christ through these relationships. There will be activities and special Youth Groupservices through Sunday, then a visit to a local church in Oradea before returning to Seleus.

Please pray that God will bless their effort and encourage them to continue to lead others to Christ.
